Condition: Excellent, with rich deep pile.
Notes: A Bijar rug typical of its type, with a bold central medallion and matching corners, and an almost Herati-like design in the field. This would have been woven by the Gerrus Kurds, in the Bijar area, around 150 miles south of Tabriz. These rugs are extremely tough and durable and are known as the 'iron men' of Persia!
