Condition: Good to fair with minor corrosion of browns (common in old tribal Baluch). Slightly scruffy ends

Notes: A very classical Baluch four-medallion design, inspired by neighbouring Turkoman tribes in Afghantan. A pleasing use of just three dyestuffs - a dark brown (using iron oxide), a warmer madder red-brown and white. Many Afghan tribals have an extremely limited palette, because of the difficulty in accessing more sophisticated colours (remoteness/cultural isolation etc).
