933. Provenance: Caucasian village/tribal, Armenia/Azerbaijan

Size: 209 x 120 cm

Age: circa 1920

Condition: Fair for age, but wear in the field.

Notes: An interesting and unusual design with four rhomboids in a rich indigo field, surrounded by tribal motifs including highly stylised animals. Great natural abrush (colour variation caused by different absorbancy qualities of hand-spun wool batches) and wide range of interesting colours - some natural, some not (like the vivid pink).
