Condition: Very good for age.

Notes:  A really charming piece, this one possesses an almost juvenile naivity: a feature in common with the most appealing of Malayers. The allover tree-of-life design on the dark indigo field is set off beautifully by the cheerful pink border. Pink isn't a colour I would always go for, but here it works wonderfully. The woman or girl who wove this seems to have had an artistic flair and joy for life.
