Notes: A rich and glossy tribal/village rug. The Koliai are a Kurdish minority group or wove predominantly for their own use. However, the simple designs and sympathetic colours have since become popular with buyers. The tend to be tightly woven with a high, course pile, making them robust. Soft, lustrous wool and good strong colours. Strong visual impact. Wool on cotton foundation.
