949. Provenance: Beshir sub-tribe, Ersari Turkoman, Northern Afghanistan

Size: 140 x 34 cm

Age: circa 1920

Condition: The sides are somewhat tatty.

Notes: A lovely, unfussy, long storage bag (without the original plainweave back, hence 'bagface') with typical Beshir colouring (including yellow) and design. The dark hues and more limited colour spectrum show it's Afghan heritage.
