772. a delightful Qashqa'i tribal Persian kilim
772. Provenance: Qashqa'i Confederacy of Tribes, Fars Province, Southern Persia Age: circa 1920 Size: 240 x 160 cm Condition: Very good for age. Minor side issues - easy repairs to be made. Notes: A stunning, authentically tribal kilim, with classic Qashqa'i drawing and fine natural vegetable dyes. Various tribal motifs (stylized flower heads, waves, 'S' motifs, serrated diamonds) are set within a linear context and surrounded by a fine border and ends. Evermore difficult to come across such fine tribal pieces.
