605. Provenance: Heriz, Northwest Persia

Age: Circa 1940

Condition: Areas of minor wear.

Notes: A very vibrant and quite intricate old Heriz. The design is a little more ornately floral than many similar, but the colours are of the usual high Heriz quality - all or at least very nearly all natural dyestuffs of the highest order. The elaborate border is especially notbable. As with many true Herizes this is a heavy and very tough carpet, built to last generations.
